More than Toys: Consider Donating Hats, Gloves, Mittens & Scarves

The Sonny Frazier Toy Drive collects everything from baby dolls to trucks to board games to soccer balls to provide local kids with a happy holiday.  But that’s a long list, and more than one donor has reported being uncertain just which doll or game would be the right choice.

If you’re wondering what to donate this holiday season, good news.  While toys are always welcome, there is also a constant need for hats, gloves and mittens, and scarves.  Many of the families we serve may struggled to purchase these essential items.  And as every parent knows, our kids don’t always return home with all of their outerwear.  Replacing these items mid-season can be expensive for families with limited incomes.

We provide gifts for entire families, with children’s ages ranging from toddlers to teens, so every size and style is great.  Our families always include both boys and girls, so every color of the rainbow is appreciated.  We especially love matched sets with gloves or mittens and a hat, too.

As always, your generosity and thoughtfulness is appreciated.
